A Week of Work Outfits
This past week has been one of those fun transition weather weeks where it is freezing cold in the morning, and pretty balmy by afternoon. Then there’s also the battle I’m sure many of you face too where it is either sweltering hot in your office or cold as ice. I had a blast this week getting into layering and not having to worry about being completely bundled up (just yet anyway).
My first outfit is a new fave, a military style shirt dress that looks cute with just about anything. I paired it with tights, boots, and a leopard scarf (because leopard is a neutral, even if my hubby doesn’t agree!). I felt so cute and comfy all day.
Next up is this floral dress that is so great for year round wear. This is great with sandals in the summer, but I cozied up with a chunky sweater, tights, and booties. I also absolutely love my “Wifey” mug from Target! I bought our set way before we got married and hid them away. We finally used them a few days after we got back from our honeymoon, and I have wanted to drink my coffee out of this pretty much every morning since then.
This vest though. I have been on the hunt for a military style vest all season (if you can’t tell I’m kind of obsessed with this trend this year), and I finally found one at my local consignment shop. When I tried it on it was just one of those amazing fashion moments where it fits great, and then you look at the price tag and the price is even better! I snagged this beauty for $15.00. When I went online to check out the brand (it’s a really great quality) I found out their vests regular on average for $150.00! I also found $2.25 in the pocket, so I would say I’m definitely coming out ahead!
I am majorly obsessed with this bell sleeved top from Charlotte Russe. I am not overly impressed with how blurry this photo was, or that my mismatched socks are showing. I would definitely say this is a “Wednesday” outfit with a severe lack of coffee. Thank goodness this shirt is so bright and beautiful it will pull your eye away from everything else!
I already know that this sweater from Ross is going to be a winter favorite this year, along with these over the knee boots from Rue 21. I love the choker collar trend this year, I think it just makes any shirt (but especially sweaters) a little more fun and sexy.
