About the Lovely Mama

I long, as does every human being, to be at home wherever I find myself.” – Maya Angelou

Welcome!  I’m Theresa, and I wear a lot of labels, none of which can fully describe me.  I am a believer, wife, mama, daughter, granddaughter, friend, entrepreneur, creator, knitter + teacher.  Like most folks who wear any of those labels, I am striving every day to live a comfortable life.

What is a “comfortable life”?

Ah, well that’s the eternal question, isn’t it?  For me, a comfortable life doesn’t mean fancy clothes, a sprawling house, or unlimited disposable income.  It does mean crafting a life that is open to the promise of every day, that is lovely in it’s embrace of the ordinary moments that fill our days.

In essence, it’s a life that is

Simply Abundant

With a family to grow, a business to oversee, a home to take care of, a husband to love, a faith to strengthen, and a creativity to express; well, there’s plenty of opportunity for my days to turn into a giagant blur that hurtles forward without any sense of purpose.  I know I’m not the only one who feels the tug to craft a more simple life. But a “simple life” for me (with all those labels I wear!) can’t mean an austere, minimalist type of existence.  My life is messy, my head is cluttered, and my schedule is full.  Somewhere amidst all of that, there is a spot where simple + abundance meet.  It’s there that life really is
lovely.

Live Lovely: Crafting a Simply Abundant Life is about:

  • nourishing a family
  • keeping a home
  • developing traditions
  • nurturing creativity
  • enjoying ordinary moments
